Cornet Bay, November 14,15

David M -

Thanks for being navigator on the first run for the new TyBoo. Joe was going to do it, but he was out back thinking real hard about something. It was a great little ride, and a big relief for me to see that the boat actually worked!

From the sound of the conditions at your home port, you and Wade made a pretty good call on driving over.

Good to see you again, and thanks in advance for the pictures. As usual, we only took a couple, so we're anxious to see them!

Wade - Thanks!

Yep, you're right about WA! The only reason we got home is because they filled the truck with fuel before we left.

I wonder if anyone else bought anything new during the CBCB trip??? Bill, have you heard of anything?

Mike, would you just stay home for a while and quit working on the durn boat?!!
You're killin' me. Now I'm shoppin fer a truck.... No way I'm goin' ta Washington. I'd wind up having to live on my boat and it ain't no cruise ship...

Seriously though, Congrats Mike. It is nice to see things falling into place for you and Kay. I hope to be able to see you out there one of these days.

I'm still not done bugging you about helping me come up with a front facing seat conversion for Sea Lion. You can come up with a hardware fix and I can do the woodwork. I have some Tuna..... Have you seen the price they are getting for that nowdays?...

I'll just second what everyone has been saying about it being a fun time - I think Kay and I were the last ones up at the fire with Dundee, he insisted we have another vino, and of course we obliged. Even though I went to sleep before 9:00 am, I slept clear through to 7:30 am - must have needed that!

Mike, congrats on the new rig! And remember, C-Brat channel is 68 - 68 - 68. We took off with Doug and Betty on board trying to catch up with you, and went down the inside around Hope Island, because that is where we thought you were going. No response on 68, and we just had a nice little ride ourselves.

Ended the outing with breakfast with Jim and Laurie at Weller's at Island Crossing (Arlington - Sylvana exit), a nice enough $7.95 buffet...

Kind of unusual for us, we got home in the daylight, gave Daydream a much needed thorough washing, and got her tucked into her brand new 11x25 G.I. Joe portable garage, ready for the next outing!

Mike and Kay,

Congratulations! Beautiful tow rig and you deserve it. Cornet Bay was fun fer sure. Wish I could have spent more time with you, but doc makes the priorities.

To the gang,

Great to see old friends and new faces. Must thank Jon and Cynthia for the smoked salmon, Bill for the smoked salmon, Roger for the spuds, and of course Doug and Betty for the hotdogs! And I don't know who else to thank for the grazing I did on the goody table. Sure made a nice day just visiting with old friends and encouraging Bill & Dana, Doug & Betty to come live in our area

In spite of the weather it was a great gathering -- and worth the trip just to see Mike and Kay's new palace. You got a good one!!!! And thanks Dundee!!

Dusty

I kind of figured that you wouldn't make it back to Oregon without a new tow rig even if you had to stop at every dealer from Cornet Bay to the Oregon border. Truck looks great and it sounds like you got a great deal. Sorry I didn't have time to see the sale happen, now that would have been cool.

Fred

Naw, Fred, you would have slugged the guy right off the bat. We were pleased with the deal, but then Kay has to look in the Portland paper when we get home and find two better deals advertised. Of course, they were "one only at this price" deals, but still, it kind of took the shine off the one we just got. We have no complaints. The truck got me to work this morning, so what more can you ask for?

It's weird to walk into a dealer on Sunday and get the new rig, financing and all, in just a little over an hour. The first new car I bought, it seemed like it took a week before they would let me sit in it. What's really weird to to hear Kay say we would take it ten minutes after she said we can't buy no truck right now. Go figure. Didn't even make me give up my dog.

There you have it. Look at pictures number 10 and 11 in the new Cornet Bay album. Proof positive. The guy moved the fire for us. And I helped.

Why yes...I have. Da Nerd has placed Da Down Payment with Da CBCBCDD (Cornet Bay C-Brat C-Dory Dealer.) Da New Da Nag is supposed to begin life today or tomorrow in Kent.

Hey, far out, Bill! Can I dig out and ressurect the "Dana Gee" thread on here, or have you came up with a different name already? Wasn't that 19 like brand new? You trying to keep up with Dusty or something?

Man, wouldn't it be cool if somebody snuck into the CDF and took some pictures right out of the mold?

Good move to keep the name, Bill. We ALL know the boat is named for Dana. Did the Lil Buddy heater work better the second night? I had to run away and couldn't stick around for the finale. And congrats on the new 22. Great to chat with you again and I have a hunch you may be up this way again soon!

Cheers,

Boat poor Dusty

Hey Dusty,

The heater worked just great on night two - with the charger on and the batteries topped off, it never missed a beat.

Which of course led me to add a charger to my new 22 spec sheet - ain't no way I'm going to find myself on a trip with Dana and a non-working heater...one time would be one too many. :D

I know I'll be up there quite a bit over the next few months - looking forward to meeting up with you again.

So come on - fess up. How much better was Jon's fish than mine...?

Bill --

Gotta be a delayed response. That good salmon stuff ain't allowed right now and Diane FROZE both offerings so I couldn't sneak a bite! (Big tears) :sad

Agree in the shore power, even if rarely used, and it will be a good addition to the boat. I'm not overly enthused about the factory installation, but you can talk to Les about that.

Sure was a fun impromptu gathering of the Brats.

Dusty

WOW! It sounds like we missed quite a week-end. Looks like congratulations are due on a lot of fronts what with all the new rides and all.
Bill and Dana got a new boat that sounds like a fare bit of thought is going into so it's gotta be a another jewel. Is Dave S. lined up for the proper ceremonies yet?
And Mike and Kay got the last part of their package so we'll be seeing posts for cruises all over the place now. That's going to be a real pretty site both on and off the water. Those two durn dogs never had it so good.
Sorry we missed the gathering but we'll make the Seattle BS for sure.
Tim

Very nice Mike and Kay, Very nice! That rascal Fred talked me into one of those too and I'm glad he did.

Bill, I can hardly wait for the new Da Nerd-Da Nag. She's gonna be awesome.

Mike, Kay, and Bill,
Congratulations on the new toys! I Look forward to seeing the cruise ship and the new 22' Da Nag at an upcoming C-Brat gathering.
Best Regards, Leo.
