Cool Live AIS google maps.

Found this posted on another website. It's kind of fun to "watch the ships".

Shine Micro has a new Google page to show live AIS (Automatic Identification System) information:

For the view above, I've clicked on a ship at the port of Astoria. You can see it is a cruise ship. Like all the google earth stuff, you can look at this from the map view or the satellite view.

I enjoy the ais map of Puget Sound Wa on live.aisparser.com with the
usual http stuff in front of it. I think someone on this forum posted it
some time back. I have tried to get the maps to pull down to the
Columbia river with no luck but does Seattle area just fine.
