Control Cables

I lost reverse during the middle of my last 4 day trip, and suspected it was the control cable where it enters the engine cowling. I didn't want to start tearing things apart being 60 miles from the harbor, so I left it alone. After arriving back home, I found the cable had broken inside the rubber bushing where all the wires and cables enter the engine. It failed due to corrosion. The forward control cable was also in pretty bad shape. Will be replacing both of them. Just a heads up on something else to keep an eye on.
