Cleaning and preventing the black mold below deck

OMG! No doubt. The persistence of a biofilm will undoubtedly, IMO, be nearly impossible to reduce unless incineration occurs. :beer
 
Great idea Brent! I'm picturing a sort-of, kind-of automatic boat wash. Much like a car wash. Think of the possibilities mate. I've been looking for a retirement employment niche - you may be onto something here.

For anyone attempting to follow this thread, it's pretty much aligned (or mis-aligned by m2cw) with bacteria (which most folks recognize) and mold (which often is misunderstood by many - since it's been historically a tough one to follow). But molds are fungi and fungi are mushrooms and fungi are damn hard to kill. My favorite (Psilocybe cubensis) is not considered a mold and no, I was never involved with growing 50-75 cases of Mason jars of the stuff - that would NOT be me! I received my first Psilosybe "plug", from a M.D. at the Heart Institute on the campus of the University of Illness [sic], Champaign-Urbana - M.D.s are not immune from scientergic renoberations :beer :mrgreen: - well, my life has been a cross between Frank Zappa and Matt Groening ever since, well probably even earlier than then.
 
What do you think about the efficacy of H2O2 for a job like this?
 
If high amounts of organics (dirt) are present, I would say it have limited success using liquid or vapor H202. A good scrubbing with some type of disinfectant (insert your favorite here) and detergent would be effective followed by drying and improved air flow and if conditions can not improved to reduce to the environment and energy sources then the problem will continue. m2cw
