Thanks for having a good sense of humor, and letting me still have some dignity at the same time pal.  :beer & one :beer for you Dave.........john - ( ssgt USMC formerly )

No problem, after all, last I checked we are all on the same side!.....additionally, my dad was a Navy Chaplain in WW II and unfortunately had to administer last rites to Navy and Marine servicemen.

(Prior to my departure to V.N. in the 60's, we went fishing and camping in the high country of Montana. At the end of our venture, I waded across a stream with my boots on and boasted, "I'm crossing the stream the Airborne way". He then asked me to come back and carry his backpack across, (which I did), then he said, "come back and carry me", (which I did). Halfway across with him on my back I said, "This is a sight to behold....the Army carrying the Navy across the water").

Yep, we truly had great times together and deeply respected each others' choice of service!

Don"t want to get to far off topic here Dave. But gotta tell ya i really enjoyed that story , reminded me of good times with my dad too. he served in korea & told me stories of chaplains who were right there on the front lines with them. i know i dont have to tell you you should be proud of your dad, i know you are & so am i. not knockin this or any other generation but , they JUST DON"T MAKE GUYS LIKE THAT ANYMORE ! look forward to catching ya on another thread. - John
