RENDEZVOUS!
All Ranger, Cutwater, and C-dory owners far and wide are invited to attend the 2012 Chesapeake Rendezvous June 1-3 at the Bay Bridge Marina on Kent Island, opposite Annapolis. More details coming soon, but mark the days and if you think you can join by land or sea, send an email to chuck@chesranger.com until a full-time chairman is set up. Slips available, launch ramps nearby, pool, picnic area, and plans for seminars, presentations, prizes, and all the camaraderie you can hope for.

As of today, 3/25, there are 11 Rangers, and 4 Cutwaters committed to attend the 6/1-2 Rendezvous at the Bay Bridge Marina! It will be a great two days and the invitation to all C-dory owners to come on down is hereby reiterated.

If you plan to attend by land or by sea, contact our 'Fleet Captain," John Garcia (juan.garciajr@us.army.mil) and let him know.

Program announcements coming soon on Tugnuts.

Hope to see you there

To all C-Dory owners in the Chesapeake area:

There will not be any gathering at Lankford Bay Marina this year. We have given the honor over to Chuck Wistar to start a new tradition on the other side of the Bay.

Chuck and his wife have attended the C-Dory Gathering at Lankford a few times and brought along some Ranger Tug friends.

Anyone who has attended the Lankford Gatherings in the past (and we had 7 years of them) know what a fun time it was. Tom McHugh and a few of us put it together to not only promote showing off your C-Dory but learning from other C-Dory owners what they have encountered in their adventures with their beloved boats.

It is time to start something new and fresh. Sign up and we are sure you will like the marina. We have been to several boat shows there. Lovely area.

Wish everyone a good summer. HAPPY BOATING!

Doug & Anne

One way or the other we'll be seeing some this weekend. Maybe not by vessel, but deffinately in person. :thup :teeth
We're looking for word to it, our first Eastern gathering!

We were at our Ocean View DE house this past weekend watching the TV tornado watch/warnings along US 50. Hope participants at the gathering had no problems other than the high winds and accompanying rain.

No disrespect to the Ranger dealer, they are great boats, and I cruise with a couple of Rangers here regularly, but I am very sad to me to see a C-Dory event at Lankford become a Ranger event somewhere else. The 2005 Chesapeake CBGT and cruise on Otter over the following week (thanks, Tom, if you are lurking!) was simply one of the most fantastic boating experiences we ever had. We will even forgive Penny for preferring blue crabs over dungies even though she is wrong, wrong, wrong! And where the heck is Tom McHugh? I still hum the Chester River song with a big smile on my face...

I have to apologize to all Brats and Tugnutz out there. I guess I was a bit excited to see new people and get out on the new Dory. First things first, need that new bilge pump and have to finish remedating the mold issue before we enjoy cruising. I hope to meet some local Dorys and Ranger folks soon.
