ha ha ha...imagine?!?! Are those Nitrous tanks beneath the door?

I saw this truck in a parking lot and had to take a picture. I don't think you would ever need to worry about tow capacity discussions ever again if you owned this thing.

capt. matt,
nice truck, but check out my dream toy at www.watercar.com i'm waiting to hear back from them on pricing for the jeep. if possible, i'll have one towed from my landyacht.

Those look like nice rigs! Too funny you can plane off and tow a water skiier with them.

My closest experience was running a Hydra Terra vessel last year:

I never cared for the road portion but it was actually fun to operate these things in the water. The rudder turned very slowly by way of a tiny joystick. It made for interesting MOB (training) exercises.

That looked like International's ultra-macho pickup that came out a few years ago. Basically a big commercial International with a pickup body. Far too big to fit in any home garage (well, maybe Brent's garage, but certainly not mine.) Those tanks are the gas tanks, just like on a big rig.

Well, it wasn't a hydra terra, but yesterday I got to drive a Duck. We're still in Branson and decided to take the Duck tour (land and water). Once in the water, the captain asked if anyone wanted to take the helm... well, yeah. (I'm trying to overcome my shyness.) It was kinda doggy, didn't respond well, but interesting in a touristy sorta way. Their fleet is made up of converted landing craft. It's no C-Dory. :wink

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Yellow Hydra-Terra was built for Wonder Bus Tours of Dubai, U.A.E.

Red Hydra-Terra was built for the Prince of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah Saud

They're the only ones who could afford the fuel costs for such a trivial vehicle.

Jim,

We're waiting for the rest of the story! Did they offer you a job? When do you start? Do you have to sing country western while on duty?

Inquiring minds want to know....
