Bought the Standard Horizon CPN1010i to install over the next month. Seems plotters are finally arriving in the 21st century - this one has WiFi and Bluetooth built in.

Seems a little decadent to be able to check your webmail from the helm, however...

Got a few other things to do before the official install!

The big advantage to having bluetooth is being able to have a second wireless display in larger vessels. You can use all kinds of wireless connections.

Wow, what a sweet looking device! I found out it has an MSRP of $3800+ but is widely available from sources at a price of $1819 to over $2600. It'll have to wait until I win the lottery.

It also is compatible with a SiTex Radar...

Not quite yet with the SiTex. They said a firmware update (over WiFi!!) will support it later this fall.

I actually found someone at Standard Horizon who will answer my email questions about this stuff :)

Looks good so far, anyway.

what are you depth fish finder options?

Tom, he'll have to buy the FF525 Black Box Fishfinder (around $200) but that will allow him to use any one of several different transducers (up to 1KW).

Yep, bought the FF525 and the transom-mount transducer.

I get real mad at seeing fish that I can't catch

Just turn on the fish icons. Then you'll see that they all have their mouths closed so it's not your fault!
