CD 16

This is my first post so take it easy on me. Im looing in picking up a CD 16 for day or over night tripping in AK. Could the vetern CD folks out there tell me a good price point for an 80's model hull with new trailer and 08 honda 50 four stoke? Seems to be weel taken care of. Any information would be a great help. For that matter for all the owners of 16's how do you like them?
 
That's a tough one. I've seen them go for a little as $5000 and as much as, well, more tha twice that. I think 08 was the first year of Honda 50 EFI. If so, to me at least, that's worth a lot. I do like the looks of that older hull and the rub rail that raps around the stern. If it's a cruiser model then you need at least one electric wiper because of the extended reach. That would run you about $400 apiece. Manual wipers are fine on an angler. The new trailer is a real plus, worth about $2000 with a spare and guides. If it were me ( I?) and the hull is sound, and it has some goodies like gps, canvas, a downrigger, and maybe a kicker, I'd go for it if it was anywhere under $12K. But, that's just me. Thank you for your reply, Im headed back over tonight to take a second look. Now after looking throught this forum should be able to tell if it is a cruiser or angler. Maybe soon I be the proud owner of my first CD.
