22 Cruiser

I would like to add a seat exactly like/similar to the Pilot/Capt/Starboard folding seat to the Port side for the Mrs (build a cover for the box and put the seat on it). Does anyone know who makes the vinyl/fabric folding seat and where I might be able to purchase one?

I have a 2010 22 cruiser.

You might see if you can buy one from the factory or learn who their supplier is. There are many makes of helm seats available on the market so you should be able to find one fairly easily.

Thanks. I tried that by email a few days ago. No response.

Pick up a phone and call them.

Picture of the chair would help me see what chair you are talking about, might fit in my 22. Thanks Tug

I would also love to see a photo of the chair because we are also considering the purchase of a new one. The current one on our Venture bottoms out when you sit in it. I also intend to raise it a bit for a better view. I'm not tall so it sits a bit too low for me.

Sorry,

But after our research we decided against it as we are going to be selling the boat soon.
But what we had planned was to create a 3/4" marine grade top to fit over the existing passenger seat box and through-bolt a duplicate chair to the top so that the capt and pax both had the same chair. This also would have enabled us to revert back to the existing chair should we decide, or if we wanted to use the settee as a berth.

Anybody interested in a boat we bought new in March of this year (2012)? 30 hours on main - 5 on kicker? We hope to put it on the website soon.

Tom

You did not stay C-Dory folks very long. Did not like the boat????
I judt stopped at the C-Dory factory about an hour ago. There is a new 22' CD almost done, a 27' Sea Sport almost done and a Sea Spt. hull waiting on a cabin.
There operation is relatively small. Folks were working but this is not a big assembly line place. One at a time and the new boats look excellent.
I hope they continue in business as they make a great boat.

Love the boat - just enjoyed cruising so much this summer we are trading up for a bigger boat.

Tom

Enjoying the cruising part says a lot. We loved ours and kept it for 3 years, but because we want to extend our cruising in comfort we traded for a Ranger R27. Now we can cruise in comfort with a shower and head. The wife loves that part.
