Searching on <cabin> and <rod> and <holder> produced some results but not what I'm after.
Someone (and perhaps many others) have installed fishing rod+reel holders on the ceiling interior of their vessels. I am preparing to make some teack rod+reel holders and I am looking for example photographs (which I've seen on our site on at least one or two vessels) but I'm beating myself up trying to find them.

If you know of some pictures I can review I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks y'all!

Found some from a 2008 thread searching on <ceiling> and <rod> for Dora~Jean, C-FLE II & C-Pearl. C-Pearl is closer to what I'm designing since I'm using teak, SS screws & 5200 to adhere to the ceiling. If anyone has any additional photos...thanks.

Can I ask a question? Why do you want to store the rods on your ceiling? The cabin is not very tall and the chance of you hitting the rods with your head are high. Thats why most people keep there rods in rod holder on the roof or the side of the cabin. If you are just going to store the rods in the cabin while not using the boat I would suggest just laying them in the bunk. I brake my rods down and lay them on a towel on the bunk while trailering and just storing the boat.

E,
I would Google Piranha Fishing Rod rack. I think Cabela's handles them the overhead model which I have is about 34.99. It is actually make like a two pieces of heavily vinyl coated steel angle (one for each end of the rods). One end has a V and the other side has holes which alternate in each piece. I put the rod butts in the hole and the rubber band the rod tips into the V's. I fastened the rod racks to a piece of oak a little wider than the bottom of the rod rack itself. Then I used 3 M 5200 to glue it to the inside of my pickup trucks cap. This allows for one piece rods up to 7.6' in length since my truck has an eight foot bed. You can pick the distance you place the rods holders apart depending on the rods and the space you have available.

Hey y'all. Thanks everyone for your suggestions/comments. I was out on the water for 3 days and just returned. I have found what I'm going to make on my own. I have a large stock-pile of Mahogany & Teak from Atlantic Veneer (located in Beaufort, NC & New Port, NC) I purchased about 4 years ago. I love making this stuff. Again, thanks everyone!
