C-Ranger Tug Brochure

Pat, thanks for posting the brochure for those who are not lucky enough to attend the show.

Pat, way cool.... It says it "accomodates" 6 comfortably, does that mean "sleeps"? I don't see bunks for 6 unless two of them are munchkins and they sleep with two others in that big bow bunk.

I'll look for myself on Thursday night or Friday...

Charlie

no way that boat sleeps 6 people unless your into a group sharing thing... and I am not just for the record. Boat companys often over estimate the sleeping limits of there product. I believe thats because boat builders ARE into the swap-share thing..

Fore to aft it is just the same as the 22 or 25 in that both sides are the same in measurement. The big difference is that you can stand on the floor of the boat with head room. (Assuming you are not 7')

Take a look at Pat's post on the C-Ranger Tugs page, here

He explains that there's a "Coffin Cabin" below the dinette with the acess aft of the dinette. That's where the other two non-claustrophobic folks sleep....

Nice looking boat -- maybe fills the niche vacated by Nordic tug when they discontinued building smaller boats. We're looking forward to seeing the new boat -- thanks for posting the brochure, Pat. Have you ordered one yet? Better hurry to get in line ahead of Byrdman.

At first I was thinking what they could have done with the "Coffin Cabin" to further the existing ammenities on the boat, but after a few seconds I realized that the cabin would:

1. Probably be used as storage by most couples owning the boat, e.g., hanging storage, drawers, shelves, etc., and suited to their needs.

2. Moreover, as a non-dedicated space, it specifically allows that bit of customization that makes boats like the C-Dory so great, the "Blank Canvas" that we all so much appreciate.

Next step: Perhaps a new name instead of "Coffin Cabin"? Or just maybe the bit of off track humor is a great way to bring attention to its potential in a round about way! (Is this term a standard one used to describe such a space in a boat as this?)

Joe.

Did anyone tour the OceanSport Roamer boat at the show? If so, I wonder if the "coffin cabin" is similar to theirs? If so, I thought it had quite a bit of room and my kids loved it!!
