I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT EXPERIENCES OWNERS HAVE HAD REGARDING THE 2006 AND 2007 C-RANGER TUG. YOU CAN EMAIL ME DIRECT, PATRICK@AUTOHOMELIFE.NET OR POST YOUR RESPONSE ON THIS SITE.
I'M LOOKING FOR FIT, FINISH, GALLONS PER HOUR, SPEED PER MILE ECT. (SOMETIMES, BUT NOT ALWAYS, THESE FIGURES CHANGE FROM FACTORY INFO) ADDITIONAL INFO REGARDING THE ACCESSABILITY OF THRU-HULL FITTINGS AND EASE OF GENERAL MAINTENANCE WOULD BE GREATLY.

Sorry Pat - been a little busy and haven't had time to post a decent response. I too really wanted some info before committing, but...

We now have 38 hours on Island Ranger. Running the 110 Yanmar at 70-80% power, the recommended cruising speed, we get ~10-12 kts. Wide open throttle is 14-15 kts. Mileage is to be determined (I don't have a flow meter), but according to Yanmar, we're burning 4 gph at 2800 rpm, so probably 3 nautical miles per gal or so. Cruise at 5-6 kts, and get 9-10 nm/gal. All speeds are pretty comfortable, even into a seaway. With our autopilot connected to the raymarine system, cruising is pretty easy.

Finish is what you see. The latches on the hatches are pretty marginal, I wish we had indicators on the trim tabs and a way to know how much water in is the fresh water tank. I think the canopy is a must, and we have the enclosure for our trip to Alaska.

I only have two thru hull fittings (engine and head),both are readily accessible. Filters, and the engine are readily accessible. But the tanks, plumbing and wiring are buried under the hull liner - can't access them.

We are having an issue filling the fuel tank. Seems like the vent line clogs with fuel. We're still working with Fluid Motion (John) for a solution.

Oh...and I must admit I thought the thrusters were extravagant, (Linda made me get them), but now I see they allow me to maneuver in places I never could go before. I love 'em.

i appreciate the time and effort you guys took to inform me on the c-ranger 25.
i've not had the opportunity to see one of these boats in person, (dealership is about a 12 hour drive from my location) so you guys have help fill in some blanks.
when i purchased my cd-22, i did so with the idea of limited cruising.
i'm considering changes to the 22' in an effort to improve comfortability, (to better accommodate long cruises) so thought i should explore all other options as well.
