Hello all!

My wife and I are interested in chartering a C-dory for a week or so this September. Searching this board, I saw that Anacortes Yacht Charters had, at one time, a C dory named "Salty" for charter, but it no longer seems to be on their fleet page.

Does anyone know of a company or individual that offers a C-dory for charter or multi-day rental? I'd greatly appreciate any pointers.

Thank you!
Will

You are correct, Salty was sold by the owner several months ago and is no longer in our fleet.

I do not know of any other C-Dory for rent, although there maybe someone out there that may do so on their own.

This may be a little too far for you to go but:

For all of you that would like to try a C-Dory before buying, icebound itching to get out, or would like to try new waters without pulling your boat halfway across the continent, let me suggest contacting Mark Gove of Wefings Marine in Eastpointe Florida (http://wefings.com/; Marc Grove <marc@wefings.com>). He has a 25 ft. C-Dory cruiser for rent (http://trawlerrental.com/). My wife and I just returned from a wonderful trip where we used his boat to cruise the ICW, St. Joe bay, and Apalachicola River. This area, Florida’s Forgotten Coast, is all about mild weather and seafood, either gathering or eating. Mark and his crew are very helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and bent over backwards to see we had a good time. My wife thought this trip would abate my desire to have a C-dory, sorry to tell her it just made it worse.

I believe Marc sold that boat a few yrs back .They still have boats for rent but not a c-dory . Give them a call and find out what they will rent .

Jim, you are right. Marc sold the 25 about 3 years a go. He does have other boats available, but no longer a C-Dory. I just had a really nice visit with him, and he is still a great guy.

Marc, Thanks for the time, the info and the horizon broadening. I will keep it in mind.

Yes , as Jim pointed out the C Dory we used to rent has been turned into the "C Tide" and resides near Birmingham, Al for quite sometime now . We do rent nice skiffs and pontoons for daily and multi day rentals. I am a little puzzled as to Missed agains post . The Trawlerrental site redirects to Apalachcolaboatrentals.com.
Thanks for the plug though !
Marc
