It isn't about C-Dory, but the word "C-Dory" is mentioned in the article:
Begay steers the 22-foot C-Dory fiberglass boat down the river. It's a nice day, with relatively calm waters, spots of sun, and, as Begay acknowledged, it's "kind of fun working out here."
It's in the story about sea lions:
Tribes help haze sea lions to save salmon on Columbia

call it what you want but it sure does look like byrdman about to pop one of those sea lions! it wouldn't surprise me to see ribs on the grill, either!

Deja'vu

Another federally funded exercise in futility. Slugs would be more effective.

I am not that tall...I would have used slugs, and I doubt my little tatter head buddy would let me out with those folks...

but, he has spent many nights in a tee-pea...

Life is good in the SE

ok so were was that job on career day????

Of course we don't have sea lions in Montana (four mountain lions were treed and shot this past winter a few miles from my home) they were attacking the slow elk and horses of a local rancher. But we have the equivalent in the double crested black cormorant. Sixty years ago, I cannot recall seeing them in such numbers. They will clean out a trout stream pronto. Ospreys and bald eagles are hardly as efficient. But we dare not reduce the numbers of cormorants. Too many special interests in the wildlife community today.
