C-Dory History

I clicked on over to the History page on the C-Dory website the other day. I was looking to find the 27' Pilot House model in the list. But, the site has been updated and the contents of the history page have been changed. It now tells the history of evolution of the company itself, and lists only the boats currently in production, including the Skagit and Olympic lines.

That is all well and good, because reading about the organizational changes was interesting. But, I miss the list of all the different models that C-Dory has made over the years. As a matter of fact, I had always wished they would have expounded a little more on the various models.

So, here's the latest CD lobbying plan. I think that someone should volunteer to peruse the archives at C-Dory, Inc., and gather all the information available about the boats that have been built since 1979. Then, if that someone is of a mind to, he (or they) could put together a series of documents that we could post on here and preserve forever. I am hoping that our resident friend Jeff might be able to help with the logistics of this grand scheme and suggest some possible ways to proceed.

Wouldn't that be cool?

Mike,

Great idea! I, for one, was surprised when the recent 27 footer popped up, first the pilot house model then the long cabin one. I never knew. We need one of the fully retired guys to take this one on, probably one that's had a CD for a number of years, certainly not a newbie like me. I'd be glad to assist in any way I can however, just holler...

Thanks, Bill. I never heard of them guys. Yep, that's pretty much the same synopsis I had pretty much memorized. Now if you can just get us a link to therestofthecdstory.com we'll be good to go. You nerds think everything is so simple, but some things just can't be done with a mouse and a penguin!

You drive safe, MagnetMan! Maybe see you around the neighborhood.
