C-Dory For Sale In Juneau, AK

Hi All-

First, I hope I'm posting this in the right place. Second, this is not my boat. I was walking around the Douglas Island Dock area and I saw this boat for sale. I spoke with the owner. He and his wife have a new boat and this has been sitting for almost a year. I'm sure the price would be negotiable based on this. I have pictures but I haven't figured out how to post them yet. The paper in the window reads as follows:

1983 22' C-Dory
'05 90hp Evinrude E-Tech
'83 EZLoad Trailer
60 gal. Alum. Tank
Cannon Downriggers
OMC Motor Bracket
Lawrence fish finder
$14,000
907-586-3893

Like I said, I have pictues if I can figure out how to post them

Nope Randy, it's not in the right place. Needs to go in the C-Dorys for sale by owner forum, HERE

That will get it on the home page, in the lower right hand corner. That's a great price, I know it will sell quickly! Ask one of the nerds, Bill or Mike to set up a photo album for you and then you can put pictures in it and either refer people to it or post them with the ad. It's not too hard.

Hi Charlie-

It's not my boat. I saw it for sale and thought I would pass along the info. In the C-Dory For Sale By Owner forum, it states the following:

"For Sale Ads are to be posted in this forum by the owner of the boat ONLY. Do not post ads here for boats you've seen on Craigslist, eBay, etc. If you see an ad at one of these places and wish to inform other members about it, do so in the "All C-Dorys, All The Time" forum."

That's why I posted in the "All C-Dorys, All The Time" forum.

Thanks,
-Randy

Sorry Randy, I missed that! You've got it in a good spot, even guests can see that forum! It's a good deal and already in AK for thems that wants one there!

I think this might be a boat I saw for sale last summer. The guy selling it at kind of a boat swap meet at a local mall had purchased a Cape Cruiser. I actually thought about picking up the old 22 since it seemed likie a good buy but have no need for a new hobby.

I saw "Twinky" for sale at Mendenhall Mall last year. I passed on it.

Price was low, but the amount of work it needs is substantial. It had a bunch of holes drilled in the hull & most were just covered with sealant, the interior was all tore up, and there were plenty of rusty fittings. I'm not sure it would pass a vessel safety check anytime soon.

It would definitely be a nice project for someone who had the time & money to fix it up.

Doc & bjidzik-

It's the boat you are thinking about. If it was a newer model (not classic) I'd probably talk to the guy about price then spend the next 3 months getting it "sea worthy". However, as it sits, it's too much of a project for me, but for someone else it might be gold. That's why I posted it.

P.S.: Do you have dory's? If so, would it be possible to get a look at them?

I have a 22' classic in Sitka if you want to come see it. Just a basic boat with honda 90, baystar and autopilot, and gps. It works for me.
