C-Dory Flu

My IRA

I'm really in a bad way here, have the CD flu and can't get the cure until March. :? Any suggestions on how to survive. I know that my trip to the SBS will only heighten the stress but I'm hopelessly under the spell. :cry Some of you have recently contracted the illness and found the cure in due time but how did you survive the disease. Dr. Les is working on the diagnosis but I'm just barely hanging on.

Help!!!

Jerry

Jerry,
You're lucky you have a support group here. Hoping to make you feel better...I hope...think about us poor folk in the midwest that have a boat packed away in the barn but can't put it in the water until April/May. And in the interim, sitting at the helm with mittens, ear flaps, and a bear skin coat doesn't ease the symptoms. Buying equipment for it only heightens the pain!! We're a sad bunch when our boat's out of the water. I share your pain.

What's an extra "m" or two amongst friends... dam it Spock, I'm a mekanic not an englizh teacher.

I still think a COMA is the solution to surviving the long wait

The SBS will indeed add to the instant distress, but the CBC will make you realize just how much it is worth it.

So, shall we add you to the list so you don't have to wear a nametag?

Thanks for the help. :) I printed hard copies of you coded suggestions and then retired to the research wing of our house (the bathroom of course). After much serious meditation and contemplation, I emerged with a plan. :D

THE PLAN
1. Consume the medicinal brew (thanks Bill). :cocktail
2. The brew will induce the necessary coma (thanks Ken).
3. The coma should lead to hallucinations of our CD 25 on Lake Mojave (thanks El and Bill). :D
4. Should I feel all consumed with self pity, I've planted a picture of Wisconsin, in the "Dead of Winter" of course, to remind me of Paul (thanks Paul). :o

Yes, I think this will work. Life is good. However, If all fails, my backup plan is to Roam the SBS on 1/20 and 1/21, (with no nametag) searching for the CBC. (thanks Mike) 8)

Thanks to all of you!!! :) :D

Jerry you shouldn't feel bad right now cause it could be a lot worse. Some of them poor folks up north have a boat thats stored in the shed out back and from the house they can't even see the shed through the snow. And launching, they don't even know when and if they get to the ramp cause when they get to the water it's so hard they just level out and keep backing across the frozen lake. And Feel Bad! You should be excited to have boat dreams, at least at this point you don't have boat payments. Some of us have boat payments AND boat projects. The payments are planned but the funds for the projects just sort of happen and sometimes without funds. You're lucky, come to the CBC and we'll help cry in your beer.

Thats a good one about the boat dreams and boat payments. Well said. I just got a shocker looking at my bank statement earlier this evening.
The good news is I think I get to right off the interest payments thanks to that little porta potty.

Thanks for the encouragement Tim and Judy.

We sold our Arima this past June and Lance camper in July. In September, we ordered the CD25 from Les with a specified delivery date of March 04. :D Our thinking was to allow time to save for the purchase and reduce the loan amount. The plan is working except that excitement and nervous tension are growing. I've been following with keen interest the "Sea Shift" and "Da New Da Nag" posts.

I wish that we could join you at the CBC but we can't (working) make it ot Seattle this weekend. The folks on this site seem kind, witty, full of humor, and best of all, love C-Dorys. :thup

We look forward to meeting many of you at future events.

Hey Jerry -

I just sent you a quick email reply, and said something about loading files to your album. Now I find that we haven't made you one yet. For some reason, this hijacked computer I am using won't let me create albums on here. Maybe if Da Nag Bill see this before I get home, he will set one up for you. If not, I'll get it later.

Man, I'm gonna get fired.
