Also mine came with lenco trim tabs , lewers windlass , demetric refridgerator ,window coverings ,fresh water washdown ,and two 30 gallon alum fuel tanks . and 20 gallon water tank.I've owned both boats for more then 3yrs each .I would be happy to discuss both boats with you send me a pm Jim

I first was introduced to the C-Dory family when we first moved to Florida in 2004 and saw them at a fair in Clearwater or Dunedin. Both my wife and I fell in love with the boats, their simplicity, and their seaworthiness. I first saw the Cape Cruiser at a boat show in Ft Myers. I just fit the CC 23 better than the CD 22. I am 5'6". I felt at home at the helm of the CC.

There are only three major differences I notice.

1. There is a larger dash on the CC. You are not as close to the windshield. I like to put a chartbook on the space between the seats. There is room above the dashboard to put stuff.

2. It is heavier, has a higher deadrise, and so it rides a little better. It still is no deep Vee boat. In chop, and we have a lot of nasty short chop on the Gulf, you must slow down. So what. I am out to enjoy myself on the water. I just enjoy a little longer at a slower speed. Mine loves to poke along about 20MPH normally.

3. The step in the cockpit is much longer than in the CD. There is no worry about foot placement getting in or out of the boat. Very convenient.

I have a Honda 150. I really don't know what my MPG is. It is low enough I really don't care.

Thanks to all who respoded to my question. We are on the road and can't always get on the web. When I have a really good connection, I will research all the suggestions. We may end up in Seattle to check out the Marinaut and anything else I can find in the area.

I was featuring the Cape Cruiser boats when they came out, as they were and still are an improvement over the older CD 22 and CD 25 designs.

Just figured out you were serious...and that nobody but me or TyBoo could see the attachment. Permissions were set so only admins could see and/or download files in this forum...I just changed it so you mere mortals can as well. :P
