Due to some glitches in the mechanisms of the site, the ad for second C Dory 25 owned by Randy Irwin ad was not able to be answered. I just found out about it.

Randy bought Thataway, my 2007 C Dory 25 over a year ago. He already had a 2004 C Dory 25, and had wanted to buy "Sea Weed" (Thataway") about 5 years ago when I bought her.

Here are the photos on Randy's 2004 C Dory 25[/urld

[url=http://www.c-brats.com/viewtopic.php?t=31155]Here is the ad. But wait to contact, until this is straightened out

I have not seen the boat, but can vouch that Randy is a great person to work with, and a very dedicated C Brat. After he bought "Thataway" (ex Sea Weed) he cruised the coast from New Orleans to Key West, to the Carolinas before taking the boat back to his home in Calif. We had a number of occasions to host Randy.

This is a 2004, where the cockpit has been redone, there is a good assortment of instruments and the boat appears clean in the photos. Priced right!

Here is a 25 for those who have been looking for one at "the right price".

A PM to me, will be relayed to Randy, the seller of the boat.

Colby, if. you follow the link, it is there: $60,000.

The moderators have a current policy that apparently no one other than moderator, (and perhaps the original poster) can "reply" to a boat for sale by owner ad.

My concern is that how do interested folks ask questions?
Answer Questions? (such as the thread were a prospective buyer wanted to know what other boats were considered. (In our case, the Rosborough RF-246. and we went with the C Dory because more economical to run, better running beam and aft seas, lighter, and the bunk was bigger in the C Dory. We didn't like the head in the bunk area. Also the doors were a little small for us--We can use the windows to catch mooring lines. The Rosie is a great boat--is better going into the chop, has a larger dinette, and there is a lot going for it.

(edited) Oops. I had not meant to post into this thread. Very nice looking boat that Hejira -- should sell fast now that there's a workaround to connect potential buyers with the seller!

Hi All, I own the C-Dory 25 in California. I posted this ad back on October 13 of last year. I’ve been waiting for replies and wondering why no response. Turns out when someone tries to respond it says only a moderator can reply or the original poster. I don’t know why yet, but in the meantime until this is resolved you can reply to Bob Austin or call me direct @ (707). 486-6225: Randy

Good afternoon, Randy. The posting issue should be resolved and things back to normal now. It had only been that way for a few days but certainly frustrated a few folks.

We are sorry for the troubles. Best of luck with your sale!

Hi All,
Big thank you to Mike and Will for correcting the glitch in the website. The boat has been sold. An especially big thank you to Bob Austin for his kind words and figuring out no one could reply to the ad. Bob is an amazing resource for anything C-Dory related and a wealth of information on many subjects. He has been very helpful to me whenever I have reached out to him. Bob and Marie were so generous to invite my son and I to stay the night with them when I came down to Pensacola to purchase their 25 foot cruiser Thataway. They took us to the boat launch where we spent a few weeks cruising in the Gulf. They pulled the boat out and allowed me to store it at their place until I returned in the spring from California with my truck. I was able to go to the Hontoon Gathering where Bob and Marie had come with their motor home and 18 foot boat. I met several of you C-Brats there and everyone was so nice and helpful. What a great group of people. If fact when I continued my trip down to Key West and then back north I stayed first with Danny Grimm in Marathon( great guy and great host) then on Merritt Island with Tad and Toby Jackson (wonderful people and hosts). When I finally made it to Oak Island NC.my great friends Jerry and Pat Ferguson pulled me out and were so generous to allow me to stay and keep Thataway in their driveway for a month and a half. I returned from California and decided to tow it back instead of continuing on to Maine(my original plan). Sorry to have written this book but the C-Brat people I have met including Patrick and Kim Walker( the couple who bought my 2004 25 foot C-Dory) are a great group of people and I am grateful to be a part of you all. I look forward to more adventures with Thataway and again thank you Bob and Marie!

Kim and I did indeed purchase Randy's 2004 25 Cruiser! If it weren't for Dr. Bob's keen observation we probably would not have had the chance to purchase the boat.
Thank You Dr. Bob!

It was a pleasure to meet Randy after a quick drive down from Washington State. The boat showed even better than in the pictures. All of the equipment on it were what we desired, a newly installed fuel tank in 2012 and replaced cockpit deck along with an almost brand new trailer. I got to sea trial the boat with Randy on the ocean out of Bodega Bay on a beautiful day. Kim and I then brought the boat home to the state where she was born 4 days after leaving home and 1800 miles later. The weather was gorgeous during our adventure.

This is our 5th C-Dory. We wandered into the Ranger Tug arena with an inboard 27 Classic with Volvo power. Enjoyed the boat and also had 3 different fishing boats during that time. We finally figured that it's best to have one boat to cruise and fish on and that is the 25 C-Dory Cruiser! We look forward to personalizing the boat and enjoying her for a long time. Now it's time to sell the original Tyboo 22 Cruiser with the original Barber Chair!

As Randy stated, being a part of the C-Brats is one of the best things to have had happen to us.

Patrick, that's wonderful news!
I'm really happy for you and Kim. It sounds like that worked out just beautifully.
Meanwhile, I'm sure Tyboo l will find a loving home somewhere. I look forward to seeing you out and about the Salish Sea.
