Yeah, yeah...I hate it when Christmas gets attention before Turkey Day, but I'm making an exception.

Anyone interested in a playing a little C-Brat Secret Santa? Could be tons of fun...here's how I propose it might work, but if you've got a better idea, let's hear it.

1. Send me your name/address in a PM, if you are interested. If there's more than one C-Brat in your household that wants to play along, provide all the names.

2. At the agreed upon cut-off date, I'll randomly match up each participant with another name to send a gift. I'll probably just keep it low tech, and have Dana pull names out of a hat.

3. I'll PM each participant back, with their Secret Santa recipient's address. No name - let's keep it anonymous on both sides.

4. Buy a gender-neutral gift and mail it anonymously, then wait for yours!

5. Optional: Post a picture back here after Christmas, showing you with your goody.

To avoid any sinister internet grinches from ruining the fun, I'll propose participants must be members already, and have posted a few messages. Don't want anyone signing up just to sneak a free gift. I'll employ my years of Internet wisdom and knowledge of C-Brat pals, to weed out any potential shady characters. :xseek

Ho ho ho...anyone interested? Maybe a $25 dollar limit? If so, we gotta get moving on this...we'd need to wrap up the participant list in a week or so to give everyone time to shop and ship. :xnaughty
 
I'm in. Too bad we can't pick or I'd say give me Tom. I would get him good release clips (inside joke) and perhaps some left wing book or pamphlet. :wink: Of course I'll send seafood to any address in Port Isabel, TX and lutefisk to any Bellingham address (plus something nice for Ruth). :wink:
 
Bill, Sounds like a great idea. I just pulled a pork butt out of the smoker. Thought I'd try that new post office gig out where if it fits, it ships. Not sure if it will still be warm when it gets to your place or not but it sure smelled good when I put it in the box and pushed it cross the counter at the post office. Don't worry... they said I had missed the time cut off for today's shipment but it should go out Monday and be there in 8-10 business days. :disgust :clock :mrgreen:

It is already over 60 degrees here now so going out to clean on the boat a bit.

Great idea man!

I've not matched folks up yet - won't do it, until the signup ends on 12/10.

OK folks - time's up!

I'm locking this thread until the 25th, at which time y'all can chime back in with a note about your surprise.

PM's going out this morning with your match. And...while we have a pretty decent turnout, we're a tight-knit group - no doubt some of you might guess who your present is going to, even though you'll just get an address.

So, keep at least half the secret in place - try not to send your present out, with any obvious signs of who it came from.

$25 is the target price for your gift - drop me a PM if you have any questions.
