C-Brat Burgee: redux

Brat Nation,
Who is in charge of making the final decision on which one? Who will be taking the orders? :) How much will they cost? Do they come with a pole and clips? So many questions. Joe can you hear me?

We could pick it the same way that we pick a restaurant at a C-Brat cruise. Open it up for proposals, see if any of the designs really strike a collective note, and if not, vote on the top contenders.

Since I brought this up, I don't mind "taking charge" of the ordering et al. In my mind, the order would be for the burgee only. Each person is responsible for their own pole, clips, etc. And I feel Joe deserves the right to sit this one out, as he mentioned above.

I think the next step is to choose a design. Here's my nominee:

Jim's C-Brat design.

My suggestion, let's not draw this way out. If you have a design idea, post it in the next few days or forever hold your peace. :wink

Just as a correction: I did not propose the old C-Dogs burgee as a favored alternative, just identified it., since many had never seen it. There were severall good designs proposed, including Jim's.

When I threw up my hands, it was out of frustration, as every time we seemed close to consensus or at least working together on it, some one else would come in and make a new proposal and seemingly want to start the whole discussion over from scratch. I got tired of going back to Square One.

In retrospect, a lot of the "controversy" was probably just good natured jousting and tongue-in-cheek humor, but I couldn't fully appreciate it at the time.

Good Luck, all!

Joe. :teeth :thup

Although, I just want a burgee and don't care about the art. One way to eliminate some of the designs would be to decide if the burgee is for purposes of representing a group web-site who chat about CD's, but who chat more about general boating issues. OR is it to represent C-Dorys? That might help the initial sort. As for me, I would prefer the emphasis to be on the group as opposed to just the marque.

But I'll buy anything and stay out of the "voting."

I prefer the 'C-Brat group' rather than the 'brand'. We are like a private little club. There are lots of C-Dory owners who have nothing to do with this site or get involved in gatherings etc. Lets keep the burgee for C-Brats rather than C-Dory.

Martin.

I like the "C-Brats" design, but what does it look like on the reverse side? Does it say "C-Brats" also, starting at the pointy end? Or just the backside of the other side showing C-Brats backwards?

What's the possibility of getting "C-Brats" as shown on one side, and a 22 Cruiser image on the other? Too expensive?

A 22 Cruiser? What about those that own Tomcats, or 25's or 16's or anglers?

So, I hear many saying that it's the club (C-Brats) that should be represented on the boat.

How about both?

Please take my thoughts with a grain of salt, as I don't know whether or not I would fly a burgee.

But if I were, I don't see myself flying a "picture" of my boat right above my boat. It seems redundant somehow. On the other hand, identifying myself as a C-Brat is something I would consider.

Would also be interesting to see the designs as would be represented on the "back side" of the burgee.

I like that design most but the text only was alright too. Not sure what I would put it on at the moment though...count us in anyway.
