C-Brat Burgee Order

Another happy customer here. Thanks!

I was surprised at how 'beefy' the patch / logo is. Since it's so stiff, it almost makes the burgee fly with no wind. Nice feature!

Yup...credit the burgee guy for that. It was his suggestion to double patch it for just that reason.

I'm betting this burgee will look almost as good at rest as it will underway.

What the hell? I live far closer then most of these guy and I'm still waiting?

You're in the second batch of the orders - scheduled to arrive to me next week, and I'll ship out next day. You ordered on 12/10...cutoff for first batch was 12/9.

To quote Maxwell Smart...missed it by thaaaaat much.

Bill,

Burgee arrived yesterday. Fantastic design. I really appreciate all of your efforts. We all know it was a great deal of work. Thanks for all you do.

Hi Jerry (and everyone else waiting),

The second batch has not arrived to me yet, and yours are in it.

Haven't heard back from the burgee guy yet, but last we spoke he thought he'd have all the patches in hand from the embroider by now. It will take him a couple days to finish up the final batch once in hand, then a couple more days to get them to me for shipping.

I'll follow up with him today, should have an update no later than Monday.

Just heard from the burgee guy.

He just received the final batch of patches from the embroiderer, and is attaching them to the remaining burgees as I type. I should have the remainder of the burgees in hand this coming week, and expect to have them shipped out prior to next weekend.

Martin and Andrea - we love you guys! I still have my Comox button on my polar fleece! We need to get back up to Comox, loved the government docks, the shrimp boat and your neat little town!

What's the latest on burgees heading north of the border?

I only have two shipping options for those in Canada.

USPS Priority Mail International

Additional cost: $13.50 ($6.00 already paid, total shipping cost is $19.50)

This is the only way I can ship with tracking, insured and prompt delivery. It's also the only way I can ship and be covered by PayPal's seller protection policy. I'm not totally concerned about that last item, but there is risk on my end shipping any other way.

USPS First Class Mail International

This method costs less than $1 more than the $6 already paid, so I'd just eat the additional cost.

There are several problems with this method:

- Adding tracking/delivery confirmation bumps the price to almost the same as Priority Mail International.

- Adding insurance to cover loss (common for this shipping method) bumps the price to almost the same as Priority Mail International

- It will take a loooong time, based on reports I've read online (3 weeks is a likely minimum.)

- I need to make a trip to the post office and stand in line (Priority International can be purchased online and picked up at my house)

So, it's probably clear which method I prefer. However, if a buyer wants to go the First Class International route - I'll do it. However, it needs to be clear that all the risk in doing so lies with the buyer. If it doesn't show up - I can't be held responsible, and can't offer a refund.

I'll get an email out to all the Canucks with shipping options, but since we've got a few more days - if any of you have other thoughts, speak up now. I've had a few of you give me US shipping addresses, but that's obviously not an option for everyone. And as mentioned before, I can definitely get burgees to any upcoming C-Brat gathering. And lastly...if this is too much hassle/cost for any of our pals to the north, a refund will be promptly provided - don't feel badly asking for one, we'll definitely sell your incoming burgee down the road.

LMAO!!! I love it when one makes a reference to old TV shows that only we baby boomers would know. I loved " Get Smart"

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the detailed response about shipping problems to Canada. I didn't mean to take up so much of your time. I am quite happy for you not to ship to me, hold on to it until a gathering. I will be at the Friday Harbor and Pender gatherings. I have waited nearly 62 years for this burgee, another couple of months will not hurt me

Martin.

Hi Pat,

Looking forward to catching up with you guys as well, and my mate Baxter. Perhaps we can get a night in Comox together? One possibility is the Pender gathering. If you are heading north through the Gulf Islands it is less than 4 hours from Nanaimo to Comox. You could overnight in Comox and then we could go together the next day to Pender. Another option may be to call into Comox after finishing up North before heading South. Either way, looking forward to seeing you. Friday Harbor is coming up.

Martin & Andrea.

OK, Canadian C-Brats - an email was just sent to all of you listing your delivery options. The email was sent to the address associated with your PayPal order.

Please reply via email at your earliest convenience, and drop me a PM if you didn't receive it.
