There's a lot of rightful concern over the dangers of propane/butane on boats, but as Thataway Bob says, proper installation and vigilant concern can make it a very workable fuel for both cooking and heating. No other fuel will give you as much heat or as quickly as propane/butane.
I have a 3-burner cooking stove and a Force 10 Cozy Cabin Heater in my CD-22 along with the proper safety devices and wouldn't trade them for anything else. I can't remember whether the stove is a Wedgewood or a Gaffers and Statler, but its a regular RV unit.
