The sliding front window on the starboard side of my 1989 22 ft cruiser is cracked. I looked over past postings for help but I only found two. My question is whether it is possible to remove the glass without removing the frame.
I did remove the inner frame (with the square headed bolts) to get better access. I also removed the wide rubber gasket. I removed the two screws on the vertical bar but I couldn't seem to get it to budge.
If is possible to replace the glass without removing the frame then do I need to remove the fixed glass first?
This all started when my window jammed. I think the liner got bunched up next to the clasp and jammed it. In my attempts (frustration) to free it the glass cracked just below the clasp. I still cant get the glass to move and this may be part of the problem I am having with removing it.
sorry to run on. Any advice or help is appreciated.
