Broken Axle = New Truck

potter water, I suspect you are right about the computer. Time will tell.

I need to make longer runs so the hills average out but 60 mph showed 22.5 mpg and slowly climbing tonight.
Definitely more believable.

Just looking at the differences in computer mpg compared to actual mpg. Wondering if anyone has compared their vehicle computer mpg to a ScanGageII mpg figure.

I don't have the vehicle computer, so using the ScanGuageII and it is usually off by a little bit, but that is because I don't pull the pump exactly when it shuts off.

Chester, those are impressive figures. I might have to look  Fordward.

Harvey, vehicle technology was stagnant for a while but there are definitely some better choices available now.

Harvey,

I have an '06 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel. My trip computer shows 5-6 MPG more than I am actually getting and my Scan Gauge shows 2-3 MPG less than my actual MPG. Go figure!

your 2006 and my 2006 are in complete agreement on the over predict.

Hello Nick and potter water. Would you guys recommend the 2006 dodgee diesel? (or anyone else). I would be pulling a 8500 lb 5th wheel and perhaps a cd25 someday. Larry

Nick and Steve, Thanks, That's why I figure my own and write it in the book. Usually about 2 mpg off from the ScanGuage.
