BOW PLATE

NOTICE SOME CD'S HAVE A STAINLESS OR BRONZE PLATE RUNNING UP AND UNDER BOW. LOOKS LIKE PROTECTS BOW WHEN BEACHING IN SAND OR MUD AND SAVES BOW FROM SCRATCHING. IS THAT A FACTORY OPTION OR CAN IT BE ADDED AND WHAT IS APPROXIMATE COST AND WHERE CAN ONE BE PURCHASED?

The bronze strip is good for above the water line bumps such as when docking. But, the bow guard referenced above is the only way to go for beaching.

Teries doesn't have the brass keel strip as the hull is a different shape than the "Classic" C-Dory's.

The keel guard is a great solution and offers more protection without drilling hols in the boat.
