Bought the boat, the adventure begins....

So Lee (wife) and I took the plunge and bought the '02 C-Dory Tomcat that has been listed here. Boat surveyed well and needs very little. The seller was knowledgeable, friendly and cooperative all around. Our boat has an interesting backstory that took it from about 10 years of dry storage in NJ (survived Sandy unscathed), to WA for rejuvenation and PNW cruising. Now to us for a trip home (for now) to Colorado for some light personalization and familiarization on Blue Mesa Reservoir, then back to it's (and our) new home to be on SJI.
Hoping to take off in a week or so to go get her. I'll post a thread aboutt he trip for those who have interest.
Thanks to all here who have offered help, insight and assistance in this purchase and C-Dorys in general. Glad to be part of the crowd!
 
Welcome and congratulations on the boat purchase! Plenty of adventures ahead and you have a great set up for cruising the PNW. Also sent you a PM as we are also in Colorado.

Since I never seem to buy anything less than 1,000 miles away, I'd very much enjoy reading about your first "voyage" to bring her home to CO (for now anyway).

Conratulations on the New to You Cat. You are going to love it, and a big welcome to the C-BRATS site. It's a great place, with excellent information and super folks. SJI, not far from here and home to the biggest CBGT (C-Brat Get Together) each year.

Welcome to a C-Brat in Colorado from another resident. You folks will have a great time learning the ways of your boat on Blue Diamond Reservoir and then off to the Pac. NW. Plan to do any extensive cruising? If so, where? You have a great boat to see the country. Congrats! El and Bill
