Boating accident

What were 12 people doing on a 22 ft boat??? does not sound like a smart crew to begin with. Sorry to hear that people got hurt but the captain should be held responsible.

The tug was definitely not a Ranger Tug. It was a small, steel work tug belonging to a dockbuilding company. It was unoccupied at the time of the crash. For more details, here is the local TV station:

I've been in the hospital for about a week but been following this on the local news. There were actually 14 people in the boat. This is and area I'm very familiar with and a pretty narrow part of the waterway. Actually it was about 5 miles of slow speed manatee zone until a few years ago but pressure from locals got the slow speed zone lifted. It's been and area with many accidents over the years. I can't even imagine being able to get 14 people and 14 life presevers in a 22 foot boat but the paper said it was rated for 12 passengers. They still haven't reported who was driving but have implied that alcohol was involved. The place they were leaving in Saint Augustine is a popular drinking place. What a terrible loss this is. The owner of the boat was released from the hospital yesterday.

Yeah- I read about this on the Boat U.S. site.
