Boat Launch Bush Point

HI. We have a C-dory Venture 23. Any feedback on launching at Bush Point Boat Ramp would be great on Whidbey Island . Also Fort Casey. (Tides, Current etc. ) Also good spots to fish or crab from those location. Thanks.

Hey Mark!

I have launched from bush point many times over the years (15’ center console). It is a short dock with quite the current. High tide is a must with a 23’ venture. I have seen boats this size have success, but you must be aware of the tides. Good luck!

Keystone (Fort Casey State Park) launch is great. The dock was out for a while from storm damage but it's back now. We've launched our 22 at minus tides no trouble. You need a Discover Pass and launch fee but a great place to start a Port Townsend trip, or fish the west side of Whidbey. No problem with current inside the breakwater.
