I got my Angola Canvas cover for our 22 last week and tried to put it on for the first time this evening. The boat has a radar arch so the cover has two zippered slits from each leg of the arch straight down the side of the boat. As I unrolled the cover, I found the anchor roller slit and pulled that up through the radar arch. I got it up over the front, so far so good. I went back to the midsection and unzipped the two zippers, then noticed something wrong with the design (I'm pretty good with puzzles, so I don't think I'm missing something!).

There's a drawstring/cord that runs all the way from one back corner, up to the front (under the anchor roller, then back down the other side. Unfortunately the cord is continuous through the zippered slit section, so as-is, there is no way to get the cover on the boat all the way without either cutting the cord or removing it from the aft sections of the cover.

How does this work for other people with Angola covers and radar arches? My best idea is to cut the cords at each zipper slit, tie loops at either side of the cut, and use carabiners to hold it closed. It was getting dark and I didn't have anything nearby that would work so I just left the cover part way on for the weekend.

Thanks.

Stainless Snap and Ring to connect the rope across the zipper for the radar arch. Velcro flaps to keep the rope from dropping below the cover.

Our Angola cover is the same; zippers @ the radar arch. But the cinch cord at the bottom should be in three pieces: one solid length from zipper to zipper that goes around the bow/under the anchor roller & one each from the zipper to the corner where the engine cut-out is. I tied the engine cords together and cinch up the cover from the zipper locations. I installed two SS eye bolts on the side guides and use those to hold the zipper cinch locations down.

Just cut the cords at the zippers. Mine was the same way, pondered about it for two days till Karl on C- Daisey told me. Dont let the cords pull through though, you will have a devil of a time threading it back.
