Hi All,

Can someone tell me what the height restrictions are for the border crossing at Blaine/Surrey? I'm curious if we can take the boat through the travelers crossing or if we need to use the commercial side.

Thanks,

Karl on C-Daisy

Karl,

I have been though the Nexus lane on the traveler side with the RF246 on trailer and I think that is quite a bit taller than the CD22. Scared the C**p out of the customs officer who had no idea what the clearance of his nice new building was so he posted another officer to "spot" me and told me to keep on driving...... Yes-Suh!

Hardest part was negotiating the Jersey barrier slalom where they space them at 8' 6.1" apart and the rear wheels of the long line of cars in the non-nexus lane who get jealous and try to squeeze you.
I hope it will be finished this year or I will be going the truck route.

Merv

Hi Merv,

Thanks for the border info. Sounds like we'll have no trouble using the travelers crossing.

Karl

I've been up there every year for the last 9 years...always take the commercial "truck" crossing as it has been faster always. Try it, you'll like it.

You will not have a height problem at the Blaine border crossing, even in the regular auto lane...
