Binacle controls placement - twins -

On my 2005 CD 22, I have the new twin binacle throttles for Suzukis mounted in the standard position, right at your hip. I'm ceratinly not a big man, yet my hip occasionally hits the trim tab button on the throttle handle. A more serious problem is that at cruising speeds the throttle handles are forward at more than a 45 degree angle, and any jolt, with the aid of gravity, tends to advance the throttles, a potentionally dangerous situation. I've tighten the tension screws as tight as I can without curing the problem. I was wondering if anyone else has contemplated restructuring the platform on whch they sit so that they would be more at a 45 degree up angle, tilted back, instead of flat on the seat top as they now are?

Mike, you must have one heck of a smooth set of handles. Mine are for bigger motors of course, but I tensioned mine up only slightly and they stay put at any speed. A tip on occasionally hitting the trim button on the inside, just hit the gear-release button/lever and push that control forward slightly to get it out of the way.

See you Saturday.

Steve
