Sorry to hear you are still struggling with this. Tuff decision for sure. I haven't heard much about Yamaha here, but Tom just did a pretty good review. I'm not sure what service availability you have on the island, but in general, the service availability for Yamaha is much easier to tap into than Honda. ( I did not know that when I bought my boat, it just came with Yami's and It was Jim's 34th boat over his lifetime. He was getting it ready to fish his way to Alaska.) I think he knew what he was doing when he picked out every device on the boat.
If you have Yamaha service available, I'd sure consider them. If not, how hard is it to get over to EQ Marine and let Les do the work. He will do you right. Matt at Kitsap would too, but that is a long haul. Stay with Honda and you might save some bucks on the change out but go with twins, and you will thank yourself every day you come in to the dock. :lol: :lol:
