Beam me up Scotty...dinghy lift for a CD25

I have an Atkins & Hoyle crane on my CD-30. To tell everyone the truth i could not be happier with the service provide by the company, any questions i had were directly answered by the owner who was VERY knowledgable. At first i was turned away by the slightly higher price but as i began to shop around, it was obvious the the quality of the A&H product was significantly greater then any other davit i could find. Thank Atkins and Hoyle! i strongly recomend this product.

If I am not mistaken, this is the davit that Les put on one of his customer's C-25. It is indeed a strong davit but very big and massive. Les is interested in building something less imposing like the Garhauer, but designed to mount on the side of a C-Dory cabin. I'm sure Les will set me straight if I have misrepresented any of these facts.

Just curious, do you have any connection to Atkins & Hoyle? Your User ID implies a professional interest in davits.

I was looking for some information and stumbled on this. This is the same boat I now have. Bought it from a guy in eagle river alaska in 1017. It was named Take Five. I renamed it and upgraded electronics but every else is still the same. Previous owner had to replace both lower unites due to salt water intrusion. But they run great
Just thought it interesting how it ended up here. Don’t know who original owner was

Very cool and the davit is still holding up well? Same dinghy and kicker? I’m struggling choosing my next dinghy due to a family of 4 I want the weight to be reasonable but would love to also have it with wheels and a 6hp for using for crabbing when I don’t want to launch our 25.

Hope you are having a great start to September in Alaska

I bought it in 2017 not 1017!
No the Davit control unit quit and had to be replaced. But same dingy. It sure is heavy. Wish I had a lighter one. The dingy motor did not come with it I bought a Honda 2.3. For it. Fishing over for me. Had to put up wood for winter. Birds flying south already. May take th radar arch off and lower the radar mount to the roof. Can’t get boat in garage have to remove it in fall and put back in spring a real pain to do
