As a new owner, I was unaware or forgot about the battery switch and didn't disconnect the battery when I last went out. After two weeks there was no juice to even raise the engine, much less start it. The culprit was the carbon monoxide sensor which like rust, never sleeps. Just a word to the wise.
Incidently, the sensor was going off randomly for the first fifteen hours of operation with door and windows open (the boat is a 22" cruiser). I theorized that the problem was off-gassing of the new fiberglass.
