Bar Crossing

Some of the advice is good. Presentation could use some work.
The boat in the video does not seem to be in any sort of distress (i.e. not "fighting for their lives").

I fish in that area. The Tomales Bay bar crossing demands respect. When the ocean is up, there can be zero problems with your propulsion. Very easy to be flipped or thrown up on the rocks. I always launch out of Bodega and eliminate the danger.
People are lost there almost every year.

This Capt. shows some inexperience with his throttle control while going over the peaks, but I see nothing anywhere that is "close to death". These boats were made for and 100% capable of handling these kinds of conditions and more. With the right captain, they would have comfortably arrived to the fishing grounds.
