Ballard Inflatable Boats is closing

For those in the Puget Sound area, Ballard Inflatable Boats is closing forever.

I was driving by and noticed the closing sign so I stopped in. The owner said that Friday this week was the last day. It looked like some great deals inflatable boats and kayaks, motors ( some propane motors) and misc accessories.
 
Gene&Mary, thanks for the heads up about that closure. I'm sorry to hear that because they've been in that location for years.

The old boy who runs that place is a cranky sort, but he sells good products. I bought an Achilles 290 there three years ago, and successfully brought a brief, faint smile or two to his gruff exterior. It was a doubly delightful day.
 
I got a story about that old boy at BIB. Went in there with my 85 year old dad for a carburetor fuel pump. After about 2 sentences from my father, the old boy tried to hire him on the spot !
