Well, Fellow Scot's, there will be special rations put aside into the Laurna Jo. However I plan to decant the 3 golden liquids in flasks... any recommendations as to and what kind? i.e. plastic ,metal, etc., and where to find them?
 
I prefer metal because, well, that's what I have. I got mine from the bluebloods at Nordstrom, but lots of other places sell them. Try Eddie Bauer. You can borrow mine for a few months if you want.
 
Only fine Edinburgh Crystal will do … and of course, it must bear the traditional Thistle crest. A set of three can be obtained on Princess Street, doon a wee bit frae the Sir Walter Scott monument.

Man, Bill - you sure are concerned with attention to detail when it comes to whiskey. Heck - given your feelings on those dang boat screws, I'd have thought a dixie cup would have sufficed...

Ah Bill! The essential element of a screw is the thread: Not the wretched slots in its miserable head. Elegance is achieved when the thread of a screw engages intimately with its mate at precisely the right degree of torque. This marriage is no less graceful than that gained by introducing an aged Scotch whiskey to finely cut Edinburgh Crystal. Likewise, ladies such as Brock's Bambina and others of her breeding are worthy of excellence. Ahgg! Dixie cups be damned! :wink
 
Ok no Dixie Cups, there will be crystal to drink from, but it may not be Edinburgh Thistle..yet. However, in my research on the subject, pewter flasks are the metal of choice for Scotch and other fine whiskies... so the one stainless I have will be for the the Bell's. The future pewter flasks will be reserved for the Glenmorangie and the Poit Dhubh. Aye, the Scotches of Skye.

Did you know that Scotch whisky is the only drink to be measured in drams and the size of a dram is determined by the generosity of the pourer.
 
Patty here. How could I have possibly known that when I highlighted "Attention to Detail" I was going to read over 2 pages of the silliest stuff on the site. Don't get me wrong. I loved it! I've certainly got to go out and check the screw alignment, for sure.
