the CBGT is scheduled for the first weekend of the show starting on the 24th and through the weekend.

The Motel we have used in the past is the Hawthorn Suites in Kent Wa.. we have worked with them and have
got a pretty good arrangement. regretfully, the motel is under new management and has gone thru some remodeling and so we are seeing about a 7 or 8 dollar increase for the rooms. there is also a 100 dollar fee for the meeting room for Friday night. we can also have the room for Sat. evening to meet and gather after the Factory gig.

I will have all the info soon for ya'll to start calling Linda for reservations. One thing that the motel stated is that to get the C-Brat discount on the rooms we have to go thru Linda. it is easier for them to book from her and it has worked well the last couple of years.

I WILL HAVE ALL PERTINENT INFO AS SOON AS I HEAR FROM LINDA AND THE FACTORY FOR CONFIRMATIONS.

Thanks, Roger...we have always gone through Linda for our reservation, so no problem here. The Hawthorn is pretty much the best location for all the activities. If you would like folks to chip in for the meeting room cost just tell us when and where to send some $$$. And we'll mark it on our calendar!

Roger,
Keep us posted. We hope to be able to attend again. Have to check schedules.
Thanks for all of effort on this Gathering of Gatherings- The International Gathering of C-Dory Folk.
I wonder what a jam we would have if all of the talante brought their instruments. I know their are some fiddles, banjos, guitars and singers in this group :note :thup

One way to cover the meeting room cost is for Linda to charge every one that books through her an extra dollar or two. It can go to the Meeting room cost and she can keep anything left over as a bonus/tip for handling it.

Certainly sounds like a reasonable way to cover the meeting room cost! Go for it!

Why make Lynda a banker for us... We need to pass a hat (which we failed to do last year) to help cover some of the "just gotta have cost" of tossing a party and/or having the party place available. Paper plates, trash bags, forks, knives, spoons.... Yall get the idea.....

Or, maybe the factory would be able to just toss a couple hundres towards the party room/gathering. We can for sure understand why they may not be able to make the fun times due to the boat show hours needed and putting on the wonderful party at the factory location as they have in years past.

Roger, sending you an email on this.

Just checked airfares from Richmond (closest to me now) to SEA and it's less than $250 ROUND TRIP. I'm coming!! Just need to talk to the better half to see if she wants to come too. She hasn't flown since 911 and has always been skittish about it!

Charlie, do you get to ride on the inside of the plane for $250 ? They can not buy enought fuel to get you there for that price... Please let me know the name of this air bus and i will buy me a seat. We went last year and I'm still trying to pay off my ticket...It will be cheaper for me to drive to Richmond and fly with you.. Keep your life jacket on, Tucker
