attaching photos to a reply

I think the photo has to be accessible on the 'net somehow. You need put it in your album or in one of the tech forums and then put a link to it in the message. I've seen others who get a photo to show up in the answer but haven't seen how that happens. I think they may have it on of their own websites and put the link in that way.

I'm sure the Head Nerd will respond and tell us all how!

OK, it doesn't matter if it is in a post or a reply, to insert a photo it has to be on the net and you have to know the URL for it. The easiest way is to right click on the pic and select "Properties." You will then see the URL. It will look something like this: http://www.c-brats.com/albums/Daydream/ ... .thumb.jpg. Right click again on the URL and choose "Select All." Right click yet again on the URL and select "Copy." Now you can paste the URL into a message. It gets surrounded with IMG tags like this: {IMG} http://somedomain/somepic.jpg {/IMG} only use brackets instead of curly braces (had to do that to fool the phpBB software). If you look at the buttons under the "Subject" field, you will see *Img, you can just click on that to insert the tags. And you get something like this:

Daydream_on_the_Beach_2_Patos_6_28_03.sized.jpg

well.... How do you get a thumb size photo?

I can't even get the pics in my post on the fishing\Halibut thread to work or even get a mod top fix it.

Maybe this is a lost cause for me lol

It looks like the URL you are using for your pic insert is the one from the address bar at the top of IE? It's a long sucker, and probably too long to use between the image tags. Try this next time: Get the photo you want to insert on the screen, right click it and choose Properties, and then copy the URL from the property box. It will be a shorter one. Stick it between the image tags with no quotes or spaces, and then click Preview to check it before submitting the message. About the only thing that can go haywire doing it that way is that you miss copying some of the URL out of the property box because sometimes it doesn't all show on the screen. I find it is easiest to put the cursor on it and double-click. Then the whole thing gets lit up.

Looks like you fixed Ray's problem. For Ray, here is the URL from the photo (full sized):

http://www.c-brats.com/albums/SeaLion/CrewFishn.jpg

The URL for the thumb size SHOULD be (but how come his full sized picture doesn't have "sized" in the name?? Mike? Bill?)

http://www.c-brats.com/albums/SeaLion/C ... .thumb.jpg

Let's try it:

The thumbnail is the small photo that is on the album content list page (you know, the little one you click to see the big one). Use the same Properties clicking method to get the URL for it. As you can see, it works swimmingly.
