Ari the 19 cruiser is for sale (listing just posted on the site)! After 122 nights aboard over 9 years, it's time to switch gears. Our last night was at Patos Island with a stern tie!

It has been a great ride with 3 C-dorys since 2009 and we will still be on the water and in the area checking in with the group when we can. See some of you at Friday Harbor in May!

Holy Smokes! What a great job you have done with that boat! Do you have your next boat picked out, or exploring options? See you in FH.

Greg,

We wish you the best in Ari's transfer of sale. Hope she goes to a good home and to a caring and appreciative new owner.

Curious, did you have good overnight holding at Patos in that photo with the stern tie? BTW, great photo of Ari in one of our favorite places in the San Juans.

See you soon at the annual C-Brats, Friday Harbor gathering in May.

Holy cow, selling Ari. I'll miss you three aboard that beautiful, intrepid blue boat. I'm surprised to hear she'll be leaving your family, but I hope you get back into power boating some time in the future. Until then, enjoy your other outdoor adventures.

Hello Daybreak,

The holding at Patos against the beach with a stern tie was very good, with our small Rocna pulling uphill into the sand/gravel. The current does wash through that spot in both directions, and you may hear an occasional log/branch bump up against the boat as it moves through, but otherwise this sneaky little spot is good with that stern tie. With just the anchor, I have not found good enough holding and/or control over boat movement in that cove at Patos, so the buoys are the best general option in my opinion. I do however think the north/central shore of the cove might also be possible with a stern tie and shallow draft boat like a Cdory.
