Anyone going to be in Ucluelet B.C. around the 4th of July?

Just wondering if any other brats are going to be fishing out of Ucluelet starting the 30th of June through the 3rd of July? I have fished the area many times in the past but I usually fish in the first part of August.
I stay at Island West Resort and it would be great to see others that are going to be in the area.

Chris,
Time and work related restrictions for the answer to your question. Yes I fish off shore most of the time but it is not required. The kings are there all summer.

Hey Dan . I wish I was but the work thing keeps getting in the way. Same as you, I have fished the area many times but always on freinds boats launching out of Toquart Bay. If the weather is rough on the outside try coming in to Lyle Point. Picked up back to back 30 plus nice ones last September. Tight lines and have fun. How is the drive in towing the 22

Terry,
The drive is fine, I have towed with a pickup and a motor home, there are areas that are a bit tight but for the most part no major problems. Just hope they are not doing repaving again this year.

Dan,
Not Ucluelet, but Nootka Sound July 23-29.
You should do well in Barkley Sound since there are fish up and down West Coast right now.
I notice you had a pic of Westport. I am planning to do June 16 and June 23-24. Also a couple more trips in the summer.
When do you go down there?

Patrick,
I have not been out of Westport for several years, and the last time out I was new to setting way-points and did not mark where we got our fish. My suggestion there is to nose around town when you get there and find out where the fleet is generally fishing and go that direction. I do remember basically that we headed southwest from the bar, and our run time was about 1 1/2 hours on good water if that helps.

Dan. We were in Tofino for Easter and there was a few feet of snow on the pass coming through which was a bit of a shock coming from the Banana belt of Canada. LOL. Paving was done and the new bridge was complete so should be good. All said and done, it is still a bit of a ride past Kennedy Lake. Lost a couple of EMT 's over the edge last year returning from Port Alberni so be aware.
