If there's a Tomcat owner who would be willing to take and post a couple of photos of where the swim ladder hand rails attach to the bracket, I'd appreciate it. My boat is a 185 miles away at Ilwaco and I'm working on a system to hold a bait tank pump. In brief, I have the pump mounted on some starboard that is attached to a 3/4" rail. I want to clamp this 3/4" rail to the vertical section of the aft handrail. The logic is that I want something that can be easily raised and lowered and easily removed to clean clogs etc. I've got the pump to 3/4" rail system already fabricated and working. Now I just need to fabricate the device to clamp this to the 1 1/4" railing. I'd like a picture and (if possible a measurement) so I can determine how far off the handrail I need to mount the 3/4" railing so that it will clear aft of the bracket. My plan is to take some hardwood and to drill a 1 1/4" and a 3/4" hole in it. I will then saw through the center of the holes to create a clamp that can open to go around the rails. The kerf of the blade used to cut the pieces apart will create a gap. With a few fasteners through the hardwood I can re-join both halves to make a clamp.
