Any Opinions about this boat?

It is not a Dory style hull, but rather a full displacement round bilge design.

They were well built little boats, and loved by those who own tham with the same ferver that C-Dory owners love their vessels. If C-Dory boats are a niche product, these were a niche within a niche.

Our shop has worked on a few of these. One owner had us install an E-Tec 40 on the boat so that by running the outboard and thediesel inboard together the boat could acheive planing speeds.

Tiderunner boats were built in Gig harbour by a Father /Son team back in the 80's . I looked at these boats back when we lived in Seattle I think their boats became the Defiance boats that Wefing was selling . They started with a small 18ft cuddy cabin outboard fishing boat like an Arima style They were fishing boats for sure .

Tiderunner boats were first built in Tacoma on Pacific Ave. They moved the operation to a small waterfront building in Gig Harbor in the early 1970's. I have owned three Tiderunners, a 14, a 16 and a 19 footer They were all well built boats and I enjoyed them all.
This particular model was first built in the mid 1970's. I remember that my father came close to buying one a few years before he died in 1979. The one he was looking at had a Renault diesel engine. I think the high price of gasoline and the short supply were reasons that Tiderunner went with the small diesel inboard boats. They did not build many of this model, so they are rare.
Tiderunner sold to Palmer Marine (Defiance) sometime in the 1990's, but I think that the 22 was out of production by that time.
