Anacortes Upholstery Shop (recommendation needed)

Brat's,

I am about to hit the road, headed to Anacortes (WA). 1500 miles, so it'll take a few days....

When I get there, I need to find an upholstery shop that can redo/remake a couple of cushions for me. (Short version: I tried to improve the arrangement and softness of a couple of V-berth cushions, but really screwed them up).

I plan to leave "Katmai" in dry storage somewhere around Anacortes for a couple of weeks while I fly back to The Villages, so I figure there will be ample opportunity to get the work done before I launch (around 6/7 or so...).

I'd appreciate any suggestions. If someone knows of a good shop in Anacortes, Oak Harbor or nearby, I'd appreciate it. Send me a PM, call me, whatever....

Best,
Casey

The shop I just used is not in Anacortes, but up in Bellingham. Alphonso's does the upholstery work for C-Dory . I had all my 25's cabin cushions including the small two that go in the cockpit as well as re-doing the helm seat with new higher hinges. I didn't do the V berth. His number is out in the boat if you want to go that far.

Thanks David,

I may just use him.

I had the V-Berth cushion subdivided into a triangular part (forward) and two separate cushions (each side of the berths). The concept worked fine, and permits me to access the (new) storage areas easier, but then I tried to make one of the side cushions softer - I screwed it up, an want to have both redone or remade. I figure that a genuine upholsterer can make the cushion softer and I'll just write a check. ...we each do what we can, eh?

Thanks for the recc. I'll have the truck and getting to Bellingham (or wherever) would not be a problem.

I am literally walking out the door now!

Best,
Casey
