ALONE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA?

BigDog.... let them know that we're interested and would plan on attending, but keep in mind that June is the Chesapeake Bay gathering and we'll be in Maryland for that hopefully. Does the dealer have a site/membership in the Brats, do they monitor it?

I am the GM of Bulldog Boatwerks, I am so excited about this line of Boats and having an SW Florida outing. Lots of work to do to find a location here in Ft. Myers or possibly Cape Coral. looking at Burnt Store Marina, and Cape Harbor for a possible location. the neat thing is the brats from the East Coast can come across through the lake and then through the locks into Ft. Myers. I am now trying to find a location with lots of docking and a cool place to have the shindig! the date will depend on feedback from those interested and how many might get on board.

BigDog

BigDog, as soon as you can find a location, need to poll the member via a newly created thread such as "Florida Gathering" to see how many people may attend. You may want to do that now already so you have a rough idea how much dock space is needed.

At the Cheasapeake gathering Tom was hoping for 4 or 5 but had about 28 boats. He located & coordinated with the marina, but everyone had to make their own reservations I guess the time of year may influence how many show up in Florida. Our northern friends may want a warm weather break.

CBrats and CDogs like to travel and they come from afar with their boats & trailers. That's one of the issues that needs to be addressed. Where to launch and leave your tow vehicle & trailer.

BigDog et al:
We're just up the road from you and would certainly attend a "Dory Gathering". You might consider Cabbage Key as it's really geared toward boaters that want to stay aboard. Also, access to very cool places in the harbor are much closer. Just a thought. We"ll monitor the post and go with it. Welcome aboard!

BigDog We are just down the road from you in Naples and would be up for our first C-Dory Geathering. We too will be watching this thread and look foward to the finial plans.

Thanks for the input, I will be visiting Marina's next week, after a little research I'll start the new topic asking for takers. I'll take a look at cabbage key also.

Naknek's in Panama City (FL) and trailering her way toward Key West right after Christmas. Hoping to do the Okeechobee Loop sometime this winter and will be watching the progress and timing of a Gathering!

Merry Christmas,

Hey Casey!! Great to seeing you loving life on the coast....with low winds. The sun will be out soon too. Send me an email now and then and keep me posted on your travels. The Keys will be great! Sherryl and I loved our time there.

Hello All--- Cabbage Key is a great idea, but they do have limited dockage with all the lunch & dinner boats coming and going, anchoring out is a possibility, the owners also own the Tarpon Lodge with docks, lodging, bar, & restaurant nearby on Pine Island which might be useful. Rich

Hi Everybody:
A Florida Gathering sounds really good and maybe doable for us depending on the when and where. That makes us a definite maybe. By the way where is Cabbage Key? Are there any other TomCat's planning to attend this gathering?
Deb and I have been in the Keys for about a month and the weather has been absolutely wonderful. If anyone is planning to cruise this area this winter, please give us a shout and we'll try to get together for a cruise or a sundowner.
Merry Christmas Everybody :xlol

FRED & DEB: Keep your eyes out for Casey on Naknek....should be coming your way... If not in some other state I will come down to FL for a gathering.....on the TomCat.

Should have better idea about my schedule next week.

Fred and Deb:
Were in Punta Gorda and plan to attend what will be our first gathering. We have a TC 24 and couldn't be happier with it. We'll be watching how things develop.

James, Betty and Byrdman:
We've been to several gatherings over the years; all were fun but there was never another TomCat in attendance. The opportunity to cruise with 2 or more TC's would be a terrific experience that I don't want to miss. Just think; another boat that can keep up with TomCat. Please keep us posted as we want to be there too.
Merry Christmas

Deb & Fred--- Cabbage Key, an old historical island is on the gulf side, west of Useppa, south of Cayo Costa, & north of N. Captivia. Islands. Randy Wayne White(a local author, who writes about the area) can sometimes be found here. Hopefully this is helpful Rich

Rich:
Thanks so much for your reply about Cabbage Key. With your directions I found it and realize that I have cruised very close to it a few years ago. Look forward to meeting you and others if the Gathering does take place in southern Florida this winter.
Have a wonderful Holiday Season
