Is one brand better than the other?

Is it a common practice to install a compressor or just manual inflate?

thanks

I have a small electric compressor that plugs into a 12 v outlet. In addition to the airbags I also use it on the vehicle and trailer tires.

I tow my boat a couple of days per month at a time. I just check the bag pressure before I pick up the boat for that round of use. Usually the pressure is pretty good, but can change a bit if the OAT changes (e.g. spring, summer, fall).

I am a big fan of the Firestone air bags. Put them on my F150 8 years ago and they have performed great. I opted for the manual inflate option as I normally have a compressor handy. Pleasantly surprised how well the air bagshold air pressure for extended periods of time.

The air bags should help keep your Suburban from sagging due to tongue weight.

+1 on Firestone. Installed several sets, never had a problem. I like manual inflate. On board compressor is cool, but really un-needed. FWIW....

Thank you

Where did you install air valves?

I dont have a good place on the bumper I was thinking of not installing air lines and just fill from the top

I've done them in the bumper (not an option), in fenderwells, inside rear hatches and alongside hitches, near safety chain connections (usually). Most auto parts stores sell that hose, you can run it just about anywhere.....

Mine is just tie wrapped to the hitch crossbar under the back bumper.
