Finished the permanent install on the window unit AC. Yes permanent, we are in Texas. Completely removed the right rear window and frame. Had a new plexi-glass window made for the upper third. The lower 2/3rds is for the window unit. Flat support base of Starboard with a SS support bracket.

Now I can re install the interior in air conditioned comfort.

Opted for the 5000BTU window unit over the roof mount RV unit because I can run it on a EU 1000.

New countertop, Sink moved to far right, Pressure water system, single burner propane stove leaves tons of counter space. New silverware drawer. Microwave under helm seat.

Too busy for photos now, but I will get them in the album soon.

Boat was gutted down to the bare hull and is now coming back together.

Still on schedule for Guttenberg and Powell in Sept.

I would like to see the pictures when we had a cd-22 cruiser we put the A/C(5000) in the front window it fit great ,Now with the cc-23 the A/C will not go into the front window it sticks into the cabin and gets the floor all wet maybe it can go on the back window or maybe build a shelf and stick it out the side window? I still dont know which way to go .?

hi jim,
i always try to go with the clean look. don't think you would be satisfied with a stick support. what about a roof mount? agree the cost is higher, but the addition would increase the value of your investment.
to bad the window unit wouldn't slide in the front window. that was the easiest solution for my boat, worked well and was able to install and put away all from inside the cabin.
good luck and let us know how you deal with this matter.

I built a side window shelf the 5000 btu rest on it now I have to try it out probably going home back to Naples fl. When and if it works I will take pictures and post but not until then .
