A Word of Caution for Today and Tonight!

C-Brat Friends:

Just a word of caution.

Every year, about the time cabin fever sets in and everybody seems to get a bit edgy, we seem to have some controversial subject come up and get blown out of proportion with a member or two or more flying the coop over the discussion and issue.

It's a bit early for that this year, yet today's election outcome could be a topic that goes overboard for some emotionally and lights the fuse, so to speak. I can speak from experience, as you all know.

Let's keep this in mind and stay calm, rational, and collected as the day's and tonight's evens unfold.

This C-Brat Family is too valuable and meaningful to most of us to let the much larger political picture that we don't directly control anyway become a divisive issue that splits up our family home.

Here's wishing everybody gets the outcome they want and hoping we all keep our heads and hearts together in the C-Brat Family!

Joe. :teeth :thup

Ya that, the winter bicker season is upon us.

we should all get out there and exercise our right to boat...remember, boat early, boat often :)

I for one have all ready boated :shock: Sea Wolf is right on. Thanks for the reminder :wink: It is a great day for democracy whoever wins.
We all know the world is watching :roll:

I don't think I could stand one more political message on TV. :x Even those of my chosen candidate are annoying. Weather has been sort of snotty here lately but tommorrow I'm going boating for a few days regardless of the weather or outcome of the election. I'm definately not taking a TV with me! I only pray we don't have the mess we did with the previous elections and there is a clear winner!

No matter who wins, and who votes, this one will be historic.

In my mind, I'm going boating :hot :rainbow I already did the other.

I am going to take refuge in a nice comfortable B747-400 headed for Europe later today.

Probably be forced to down a couple of adult beverages to overcome the withdrawal symptoms.

Whatever the outcome, I will arrive in the UK on Nov 5th which is the day they celebrate one of their greatest aspiring historical politicians by burning him in effigy for daring to try to blow up the houses of parliament.

Guy Fawkes

Born April 13, 1570(1570-04-13)
York, Yorkshire, England
Died January 31, 1606 (aged 35)
Westminster, England
Charge(s) Conspiracy to assassinate King James I & VI and members of the Houses of Parliament
Penalty Hanged, drawn and quartered
Status Ensign
Occupation Soldier
Parents Edward Fawkes, Edith Blake

An appropriate fate for some of the annoying "talking heads" that rule the world from a desk at CNN.

I'm boating for C-Dory. May there be a C-Dory for every household! :lol:

Hmm. He sounds like one of them "domestic terrorists" with whom some candidates like to pal around.

I voted this morning, and I haven't turned on the radio, the TV, or looked at a news website. I just can't take any more.

Your tolerance is like mine, Tim. I'd rather watch tonight's "Bizarre foods with Andrew Zimmerman" marathon on the travel channel, and I really can't stand Zimmerman's taste in foods.

Sigh. With luck it'll be over by this time tomorrow.

Well, I for one am pro-life jacket, and I boat.

I LOVE it! You're one funny dude. I was trying to come up with something half as good but the thing I could think of was a lame "I support bay marriage - one boat and one bay" or something similar.

I boated today and won’t be boating again tell spring. :cry: In addition, I froze me boot off waiting to boat at 0700.
By the time I get off work here (Alaska Standard Time) all the boats should be in.

Couldn’t help plagiarizing a little.

man, that's some old school music....now days it would be Lil Jimmy.

I mailed my ballot off a few days back, told the spousal unit that there should be some kind of automatic blocker that would tune out all political advertisments and news once you voted. That would sure encourage people to get their vote in

Hi Folks,

I agree with SeaWolf. Elections over. Didn't go my way. Who Cares.

Back to boating. Today I am going to make my list of winter projects and work on a Hingham/Boston Harbor C-Dory get-to-gether.

Fred

I boated for:
Bay Moorage;
Off Shore Grilling;
Berth with Dignity;
Grand Banks Bailouts;
Prop 1, 12x13, 13x17 and an assortment of variable pitch blades; and
A Sea Change.

Haven't checked the returns yet.
